Celebrating Rotary – Dinner in Dar

Left to Right: PP DK Lee, Anand, Kirti (Surinder's wife), me, Surinder (my host counselor)

Later that night on Thursday, Jan 28th, the Rotarians from Dar es Salaam and the group from around the world joined together for a fancy dinner at the Movenpick (a fancy hotel in city center).  There was socializing and dinner with a presentation about the unique cultures of Tanzania, including the Maasai.  PP DK Lee spoke as well as other Rotarians from Dar es Salaam and California.  Anand and I also got to officially meet PP DK Lee and get a few photos.  In addition, Anand and I were also the youngest people there, so got recruited to sell  cards from a local Rotarian artist to benefit the Ocean Road Cancer Hospital in Dar.  Without much effort, we sold the whole box.
